[GDC] Meet the Codemasters

Representatives from Codemasters came to MMU on the 18th of July 2008 to meet us. They arrived at 9.30am after making a few wrong turns and getting lost in campus. Blame the lousy signs in campus!
Anyway, Codemasters is a British company and is one of the longest running British game developers. Their products include hits like Operation:Flashpoint and the Colin McRae Rally series.
So, the reason they came here was so that they could understand MMU’s course structure. A few of our lecturers and also the Dean of FIT answered most of their questions and explained the courses available and subjects taught in MMU. After a little chit chat, we headed on to the Graphics Lab.
We decided to bring them to the lab to show what games our students or ex-students had created. They were quite impressed with it, thankfully!
Since we all had classes, we had to end the meeting short. We are really honored to have them come to MMU and hope they could recruit MMU students to work in their company. Thanks once again!
