GDC is proud to be the first student club to organize a game design workshop. We thank all the VIPs, participants and also our beloved working commitees.
From Malay Mail:
Approximately 50 students from MMU and HELP University College attended the Game Design Workshop organised by MMU Game Developer’s Club – a student organisation that gathers gamers and would-be game developers to learn by sharing.
The workshop’s objective was to expose students to the fledging local games industry and the event was attended by almost every related industry professional. The following comments on game design were provided:
Phoenix Games Studio lead game designer Michael Ooi: “Game Designing is a craft. The only way to learn it is to do it. You can start by doing it for your friends and classmates. You also got to know both the science and art aspect of games.”More
